On Sunday, March 9, 2008 Pastor Dave Gish had a sermon about “Investing in God”, in the series “Use it Wisely” The sermon centered around Jesus’ parable of the three servants that were given talents and how they used them. To drive the point home, Pastor Dave challenged the congregation to invest in God’s work to support Hanna’s Orphanage in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. The amount we are going to raise is $25,000 for an apartment for some of the orphans. What made the challenge unique, was the fact that Hope Church handed out money to the congregation - $10, $20 or $50 and each person was asked to go multiply what was given to them. This blog serves to show and encourage all of us in how we invest our talents for the Lord!
